Take Care

Know you’ve been hurt by someone else
I can tell by the way you carry yourself
If you let me, here’s what I’ll do
I’ll take care of you
I’ve loved and I’ve lost

I’ve asked about you and they’ve told me things
But my mind didn’t change, I still the feel the same
What’s a life with no fun? please don’t be so ashamed
I’ve had mine, you’ve had yours, we both know
We know, they don’t get you like I will
My only wish is I die real
Cause that truth hurts, and those lies heal
And you can’t sleep thinking that he lies still
So you cry still, tears all in the pillow case
Big girls all get a little taste
Pushing me away so I give her space
Dealing with a heart that I didn’t break
I’ll be there for you, I will care for you
I keep thanking you, just don’t know
Try to run from that, say you’re done with that
On your face girl, it just don’t show
When you’re ready, just say you’re ready
When all the baggage just ain’t as heavy
And the parties over, just don’t forget me
We’ll change the pace and we’ll just go slow
Won’t ever have to worry,
You won’t ever have to hide
If you’ve seen all my mistakes
So look me in my eyes

Cause if you let me, here’s what I’ll do
I’ll take care of you
I’ve loved and I’ve lost

It’s my birthday, I get high if I want to
Can’t deny that I want you, but I lie if have to
Cause you don’t say you love me
To your friend when they ask you
Even though we both know that you do (you do)
One time, been in love one time
You and all your girls in the club one time
All so convinced that you’re following your heart
Cause your mind don’t control what it does sometimes
We all have our nights though, don’t be so ashamed
I’ve had mine, you’ve had yours, we both know
We know, you hate being alone
You ain’t the only one
You hate the fact that you bought the dream
And they sold you one
You love your friends but somebody shoulda told you somin’ to save you
Instead they said…
(Dont tell me, I don’t care, if you hurt)
(I don’t tell you, you don’t care)

Know you’ve been hurt by someone else
I can tell by the way you carry yourself
If you let me, here’s what I’ll do
I’ll take care of you
I’ve loved and I’ve lost

Sad day

I've never lost someone close to me. I don't remember my great grandpas but great grandma and grandparents still alive and pretty much healthy. A close family member is in the hospital, I can hope everything will be okay but don't know yet. It's very emotional and scary thinking about him being gone. He helps me all the time and is the one person always available to give me advice. I can't imagine living without him. Thinking about the recent moments we shared together. Another lesson to not take life for granted. Try not to judge others you never know what they've been through

to the haters

just know that your hostility makes me come back that much harder. youre gonna be sitting in the same office cubicle 30 years from now, doing the same uneventful work, desensitized, probably poor and wearing the same cheap ass clothes you buy from China, thinkin you look trendy. i'm gonna be so much happier the day I don't have to see your phony bitchy ass face every day. next time you give me one of your evil dirty looks, you know i know you know, how much more successful I am. expand your mind...get out of yourself. I know everyone has their problems, their own "story" that makes them feel unique or special, but you're so ugly, selfish, and materialistic, man I'd rather look at an elephant than you.

Mental health and modern society

Interesting...
http://www.npr.org/2011/12/02/143055122/combating-depression-with-meditation-diet

WEIL: True, and I think it has everything to do with modern life. I think in essence the depression epidemic represents a mismatch between our genes - the kind of life our genes have prepared us for and the kind of life most of us actually live. One clue is that major depression is virtually unknown in hunter-gatherer societies. You can't find a case of it in Papua New Guinea.
So what's different there? Well, everything. You know, people in those cultures are living close to nature. They enjoy strong tribal and community support. They're eating natural diets, not industrial food. They're getting plenty of physical activity.
So everything has changed, and I think that if you want to attend to emotional well-being, you really have to look at all of the influences on physical health and emotional health, both in the physical realm, mental realm and spiritual realm.
FLATOW: Could not Facebook and Twitter, though, could you not argue that it's creating more of a sense of community?
WEIL: I think it's a false sense, frankly. You know, the research is so strong, showing that interpersonal connection is protective against depression and protective of emotional wellness. And I think that more and more of us substitute virtual interaction for real interaction.
Also, a great deal of what we see as the advancements of technology in modern life make it easier for us to live in isolated cocoons. We think that we live very comfortably, but in fact I think this is at the expense of a kind of social support that people in other cultures and people earlier in this culture enjoyed.

my living dreamcatcher

put a sleeping KiKi in bed with you and you will have a peaceful happy sleep. A sleeping Kiki next to you guards you against all worry, negativity, and bad dreams. But you have to be aware of her mood. Sometimes she is rambuctious and will wake you all night long. She can't protect you every night. put her in the right spot on your bed on the right night and she will protect your dreams. I love my Kiki my dreamcatcher. Protect All Animals

Visiting the San Francisco Zoo

No rain as expected and turned out to be a perfect day. My favorites were the gorillas and giraffes, and none of the animals look as depressed as I thought they would, except for a lonesome seal in a tiny pathetic pool. The snow leopard and polar bear looked hot. Couldn't help but see human characteristics in many of them. The gorillas look so smart and kept staring at us. The baby was adorable and playful and kept twirling around and climbing things. Giraffes are majestic. It was fun but I don't like thinking about the declining numbers of wildlife and their habitat.

fulfilling creativity desires without spending money

How you dress is a way of expressing yourself. My list of clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories that I want to buy is outpacing the money I make. I've decided I need to find free ways to express myself in order to feel more fulfilled, like setting aside time everyday for drawing or painting. maybe sign up for a class. for now I will dream about the dress below and attempt to make my own version of Calypso Sea elegance.

Life

“The hummingbird lives only a few seasons because of its constant ‘quick’ vata nature, while tortoises live for over a hundred years... because they know how to take things slow.”

An example of a wellness model includes one developed by Myers, Sweeney and Witmer. It includes five life tasks—essence or spirituality, work and leisure, friendship, love and self-direction—and twelve sub tasks—sense of worth, sense of control, realistic beliefs, emotional awareness and coping, problem solving and creativity, sense of humor, nutrition, exercise, self care, stress management, gender identity, and cultural identity—which are identified as characteristics of healthy functioning and a major component of wellness. The components provide a means of responding to the circumstances of life in a manner that promotes healthy functioning.

Giant river otter pups at Zoo Miami

The birth of two giant river otter pups in Florida earlier this year is big news both for their endangered species and the zoo where they were born.

The pups -- one male and one female who haven't yet been named -- were born at Zoo Miami on Jan. 31 to mother Kara and father Witoto. They are the first offspring for both parents and the first members of their species to be born at Zoo Miami.

The babies and their parents were kept in seclusion until recently and made a rare appearance last week during a veterinary checkup. (Both pups are reportedly in good health.)

Giant river otters are native to South America, where their population has been adversely impacted by hunting. Though these little guys only weigh about 2 to 3 pounds now. As adults they'll weigh as much as 75 pounds and measure up to 6 feet in length!

bill fay - camille

perspective

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
~Albert Einstein

pretty song, March 2010

If you forget it all, I will bring it with me
If you can't find the sea, I will take you there

Green, you still know me by name

Even though I'm losing
Doesn't make me a loser yet
You still know me by name, Green
I'll still be Lady Daydream

She took it all from me
Now I can't find my place
Do you 'member me
Do you know my face?

It could all be a dream, Green
